Rica M. Mendes, Web Operations ManagerWhen Rica was growing up, she swore to herself that she'd never work in an office, work with computers, and that she'd be a ballet-dancing, lawyer and actress. Somehow, in the years since she graduated from Oberlin College with a B.A. in English Literature, she managed to find herself working in an office, working with computers, swapping out her ballet-dancing for cycling and her legal and theatrical skills for a marketing career. Starting out working in the financial industry, Rica quickly moved up into the Marketing world at Trilegiant (now Affinion Group) as a Traffic Manager, held the position of Marketing Director at a New Horizons learning center franchise. From there, Rica began her career in the internet formally, securing a position in the online division of Lillian Vernon as a Content Manager, a Project Manager with Story Worldwide (formerly Byte Interactive), and, now, as Web Operations Manager for AXXUN Inc.
In her spare time, Rica has become an avid cyclist, daily commuting by bike from Westchester County, NY to our offices in Stamford, CT, a LIVESTRONG Leader, raising funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, and working to preserve a youth movement that helped her develop her leadership skills throughout her life.
