1. Q: How is my developer's copy of axxun limited? Why?
   A: The free developer's copy of axxun includes a license that limits the number of records that can be processed, but does not limit the development functionality. That's good enough to develop and demonstrate most applications. The licensed (paid-for) version, axxun Unlimited, does not include such a limit when it is purchased so that your already-developed application can run without limitation on this copy of axxun.  All end users require an Unlimited version to run any axxun developed application.  These license fees are AXXUN's source of revenue.

2. Q: On which operating systems can axxun run?
   A: axxun currently runs on Microsoft Windows environments including 2000, XP, Vista and 7 as well as Windows Mobile 6.x. Our technology is written in C, with win32 extensions, so it also runs on Linux Wine-powered environments. axxun does not run on Mac OS.

3. Q: Does an axxun developed system run slower/faster than a traditionally coded system?
   A: An axxun developed application runs as quickly and efficiently as an equivalent application developed using most other development methods available today. Therefore, the speed with which axxun-developed applications will run depends on the environment you run on your system. Most operating environments today are frameworks. If we compare traditional database applications to axxun, our computation is more compact, in-memory resident, with small I/O requests which leads to faster response times.

   A: Yes, any DLL can be employed.

5. Q: All our data is in Oracle and DB2 databases, can we still use axxun?
   A: Yes. Thanks to the Open Database Engine Executive (ODBE) API, application, which is an integrated part of axxun, applications developed with axxun are capable of making use of any legacy RDBMS for which an ODBE connectivity bridge i.e. most of the major SQL databases. 6. Q: I am not a programmer, can I develop an application using axxun?
   A: Yes. Compared to many of its competitors, the axxun development system, along with its application design & development approach, is user-friendly, even for those with few technical skills and minimum computer system development knowledge. The development of applications with axxun emphasizes the ability to identify and understand business needs, concepts and processes. A basic understanding is all that is needed for the majority of development time, and, as you work with axxun, you will find yourself understanding and learning more and more about application development. This is in great contrast alternative methods, which require a demonstrable knowledge base of programming skills.

   A: Since the developer copy of axxun is free, no discounts are needed; all students can have their own copy at no charge.

8. Q: How long will it take me to learn axxun?
   A: axxun consists of Ten Fundamentals that need to be understood well. By using the samples that are provided with the Getting Started training material and are available with either version of axxun, you should be able to modify and build your own applications within a few days (in some cases, even less time). As with all systems, the more time you spend with axxun, the more accomplished you will become. In weeks, you should be able to build full applications from scratch and within months, you should be an accomplished axxun Developer.

9. Q: Can I use axxun to modify existing software?
   A: No, but you can modify business logic over your legacy data managed by other applications, putting you in full control over the type of data access to implement for such additional business logic thanks to axxun's Open Database Engine Executive (ODBE) API.

10. Q: Why should I take the maintenance option?
    A: axxun is always on the cutting edge. Therefore, new features of axxun and new ways to implement and access axxun will be provided to maintenance customers without additional cost.

11. Q: What is "Object Methodology"?
    A: The axxun developer creates "objects" which are not models but real Business Process objects. As such, axxun is not "object-oriented" but actual object development, an Object Methodology.
