We realize that we are a bit out of the box. And we don’t expect you to restructure your pre-existing systems and data organizations to accommodate axxun (that defeats the purpose – axxun was create to make life easier, not more complicated). Therefore, we developed an API that allows you to connect your axxun application to existing SQL databases easily.
axxun Database Compatibility
- axxun's native, lightweight, file-based database engine, ISAMAXX
- Microsoft SQL Server, all editions* - in three different major versions/generations: MS SQL Server 2000, 2005, and 2008
- Oracle Database 11g
- IBM DB2
- Sybase Adaptive Server
The axxun SQL API we created is a built-in component of the system. Simply declare the API and define the database in your application’s directory, and it is automatically activated. This is a breakthrough compared to other systems where your choice of SQL database can impact the style of programming you have to do in your application, and/or the programming languages you have to use.
